unstuffing shirts, and making great music, since 1996 | ||||||||||||

I
like coming to concerts because life is crazy, but then you can go to
a concert and it quiets you. Listening to beautiful music calms your soul.
What
I like is the choice of music, the smallness of the group, and the fact
that there's always something unexpected at the concerts. It's nice to
hear individual instruments instead of the whole orchestra, too.
It's
just plain fun to go to a Prairie Ensemble concert. The programming is
so innovative, the players are so enthusiastic, and the soloists are terrific.
I'm always sad if I have to miss one.
We
had heard that The Prairie Ensemble was really good, and it turned out
to be true. Every performance has been perfect. When you come to one of
these concerts, you know you will hear a top orchestra in a really relaxed
atmosphere.
I
come for the beautiful music. It's like an oasis of beauty when, outside,
things are not quite so beautiful.
I
want my teenage son to be exposed to more than rock music. When he first
went, I had to tell him he was going, but when it was over, he said, 'That
was really fun!' There aren't too many ways I can expose a teenager to
classical music, and he left really enjoying it and with an appreciation
of the music.
