Igor Stravinsky The Soldier’s Tale (L’Histoire du
Soldat)
You don’t get more portable than Stravinsky’s little theater piece for seven players, three actors and one female dancer. We pair it with a jazz-infused work written, as the title suggests, in homage to Stravinsky by the head of jazz studies at Indiana University. The Canopy Club is Champaign-Urbana’s largest concert venue for rock, country, hip hop, jazz, funk, indie and, as they say, “anything in between.” We think we’ll fit right in!
Come early for food, a few drinks, and to hear the warm-up band.
